About Me
Hi, I’m Megan!
In the beginning of 2023, I was a single mom sitting on my couch in tears, asking God what the heck He was doing. No matter how hard I tried, life just kept hitting harder. After years of trying to rebuild after a messy divorce, I had filed for bankruptcy and felt like a complete failure. I had no idea what God was doing, but He did.
One day, while scrolling Instagram, I came across a post about junk removal. I reached out, asked questions, and God wouldn’t let the idea leave me alone. Even though all I had was a small Ford Focus. Within two weeks I created an LLC, had business insurance, started renting U-Hauls, borrowed a friend’s truck, and took the last $400 I had to my name to buy tools instead of groceries. I told God that if I had heard Him wrong, He could close the doors.
Instead, He kept opening them.
I didn’t have a business plan. I just had faith, a willingness to work harder than I ever had before, and a daughter depending on me. One job turned into another. Then another. Before I knew it, homeowners, real estate agents, contractors, and investors were trusting us with bigger and bigger projects. Along the way, I realized this business was never really about junk and demolition.
It’s about people.
It’s about helping families through hard seasons, preparing homes for a new beginning, and giving people hope when life feels overwhelming. Whether we’re removing junk, completing a demolition, cleaning out an estate, or helping prepare a property for what’s next, our goal is always the same: to serve people well.
Today, my life looks very different. I’m blessed to be married to an incredible husband who has joined me in building not only this business but also a life centered around Christ, faith, family, and serving others. Together, we’ve continued to grow, adding a real estate investing company and a stump grinding company while continuing to serve families and businesses across the Triangle through I Put Your Junk In My Trunk.
No matter how much we grow, our mission won’t change. We want people to feel heard, cared for, and served with excellence. We believe God has entrusted us with this business, and our prayer is that every job leaves both the property and the people a little better than we found them. I pray that my story inspires others to push through the hard in life and keep going after for better. A new life after tragedy IS possible, but we can't give up or quit. I not ever praise the journey I easy, because nothing about it is.
